Remora Technologies Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Remora website and the Remora device and app (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information. Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
Order information. Billing and shipping address and order details when you buy a device. Payment card details are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, and are not stored by us.
Recordings and content. Audio you capture with the device, and the transcripts, summaries, and notes generated from it.
Usage and device data. How you use the app and device, app version, device identifiers, and basic diagnostic logs.
Communications. Messages you send to our support team.

How we use your information

To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, including transcription and summaries.
To process orders, payments, shipping, and returns.
To respond to your requests and provide customer support.
To send service and, where permitted, marketing messages (you can opt out at any time).
To keep the Service secure and to meet our legal obligations.

You are responsible for how you use the device to record. Recording laws vary by country and region, and some require the consent of everyone being recorded. You agree to obtain any consent required by the laws that apply to you before recording. Your recordings and the content generated from them belong to you.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Service providers who help us run the Service (for example hosting, payment, shipping, and transcription infrastructure), under contracts that limit how they may use it.
Legal and safety recipients, when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and then only as long as required for legal, accounting, or security purposes. You can delete your recordings and request deletion of your account at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us at privacy@remora.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
